Greenland is about as remote as you get, right? And the icy waters are reserved for polar bears and that’s about it!?
The Polar Bears and Paddleboards project will be setting off to one of the most isolated and extreme locations on the planet to film a documentary on the effects of global warming and raise money for 3 associated charities. A team of 10 will travel up the Sermilik Fjord, on the East coast of Greenland in an attempt to be the first people to use Stand Up Paddelboards to reach one of Greenland’s largest glaciers – Helheim Glacier.
SUP’ing, or Stand Up Paddleboarding is the fastest growing water sport in the world, and being a sucker for some Primi Extreme we’re hosting a fundraiser for these guys before they head off for a 100km journey through to experience the iceberg littered waters.
Gather you SUP mates, and join us for SUPper….
